I have worked in fitness equipment retail for 8 years now and have a Bachelor of Physical Education. To answer your question, it does not matter which peice of equipment you use as long as you’re comfortable on it as all cardio equipment is mean’t for weight loss or cardiovascular excercise. Ellipticals are good because they are low to no impact while still providing weight bearing activity to keep the bones strong. Problem with ellipticals is that you need to be able to put forth $ 2500 or more to get one that feels good, is biomechanically correct and can handle your “bigger” stature as you’ll want something well built. Recumbent bikes are much cheaper, will provide you with cardio/weight loss excercise and are easy to use. Ellipticals are more efficient than the bikes because you use your entire body meaning more calories expended over a shorter period of time. People also tend to get bored on the bikes. My suggestion is to go to a gym and try them both before you buy. Last thing you want is to buy something that you don’t like. As for a website, I am unsure of that. Try some of the fitness equipment manufacturing sites such as many times they will have helpful hints on buying the equipment. www.precor.com, www.iamstrong.ca (this one is more towards health and lifestyle and has testiomonials).
Hope this helps!
Also, remember that portion sizes are everything. Most serving sizes can fit in the palm of your hand. So, imagine eating at a restaurant and getting a plate of food five or six times that!
Hope those two help. ![]()
thanks a lot

sports is the best way .
I personally do mine after work as I’m not a morning person and I’ve managed to shed 20kg’s of fat in the last 6 months.
The bicycle business is so competitive today that any two bikes at the same price point are very likely to be comparable values. Ignore the marketing hype and fancy brochures. The most important thing you can do it test ride as many bikes as you can. One of them will fit you much better than all the others. You will be able to tell this very soon after first sitting on that bike. Buy that bike. The bike that fits you best will be the one that will give you the most enjoyment.
HTH
Definitely go to a shop and try a few models. Comfort is the big thing, and there are lots of great bikes out there.
Oh, and make sure you get a triple ring in the front for those Kiwi hills!
Good luck with it.

I like to do mine at night so I can sleep better.
It shouldn’t be at night unless you really don’t have time, cuz by night, body tends to relax & doesn’t burn as much as in the morning.
Naturally, preferrably, yes, it should be in the morning or by day.
Additional important info.,
Same actually goes with food, that one shouldn’t eat some big calorie meal by night.
Note that in the 1st 20-30 minutes of workout, you won’t burn, specially if you don’t exercise regularly. But it certainly releases stress off your brain & body, boosts happy hormones really, & increases your metabolism.
I greet you for your care to exercise
.
[Not that you weren't exercising]
Whenever you have time. As long as it’s thirty minutes after eating, or two hours before sleeping. Remember to keep well hydrated.
that is simple… the best time is when you can actually exercise. the benefit comes from the exercise you do. not the time you do it. although there may be different benefits to exercising at different times, its better to just work out when you can than not at all. if you give yourself a set time, you might find excuses to not exercise at all. example “oh, i wasn’t able to work out this morning, i guess i will just do it tomorrow.”
i like to exercise in the morning. i am less likely to have the “i had a long day at work” excuse. plus, its out of the way and i don’t have to think about it the rest of the day.
I Think AnyTime In The Day Is Good For A Workout Of Any Kind!
go at night
The best time of day to exercise is the time that’s most convenient, and that you’ll stick to. Some people get a burst of energy after working out, so before bed is not a good time for them. Others get tired within a couple of hours, so after work is perfect.
Studies have been done, and early morning is typically agreed to be the best time because the fuel used for the energy required to run is all stored calories, whereas after work your body is burning food that you’ve eaten throughout the day, but the bottom line is that you’re still burning calories. If you burn stored calories and then eat, your body will store a portion of those new calories. If you eat, then burn that food, then your body can’t store those calories, and you will burn stored calories to exist the rest of the day. The net difference is very small.
The most important thing is that you exercise. If you’re not a morning person and you love to sleep late even if you go to bed early, then you will have a very hard time motivating yourself to get out of bed an hour or two before you really need to be up for work. If you are exhausted after work every day and look forward to nothing more than going home, sitting on the couch watching TV for 2 hours and then going to bed at 9:00, then you’ll find it too easy to excuse yourself from going after work. Go when you can go, and when you can make a commitment to yourself to keep going, and then keep that commitment that you made to yourself.
Good luck to you!
I would say close to after noon time after a good meal.
early in the morning after waking up just throw on your sweats and take a quick jog since you most likely will be too tired when you get home that day
in cheer we have 2 practices at 6 in the morning and 2 right after school… which ever you like more is probably the best but i reccommend switching between two times every time you work out
Early in the morning (for a good start to the day) or late in the afternoon are the best times (for a good de-stresser after a long day). Avoid exercising in the hottest part of the day.
Just make sure you have plenty of water before and after, and allow enough time to get some benefit from it, say, at least half an hour.
Take a shower when you’re done!
I hope this helps.
In the morning, before work is best. If outside, best to do it when it is a little colder. If you excersise at night, it can be hard to fall asleep becuase your body is so energized.
1st thing in the morning, otherwise the day will intrude and you won’t get it done. Doing it is the most important consideration of all.
Pam
4 years of morning work-outs and still going strong!
mornings
Best time is what works for you. That and when is the weather best? If you live in the West, winds blow with hurricane strength so much of the time. Winds are USUALLY low before sunup and after sunset.
If you venture out during the day when the winds are blowing 60 – 70 and more mph, you won’t get much benefit.
I think night because it burns all those cals`
Morning.
It not only gets it out of the way when you do it in the morning, but it gives you MUCH more energy through out the day because you’re body is physically happy, which makes you mentally happy as well as exercising relieves stress.
I personally prefer to exercise later in the day(although sometimes I am forced to work out early in the day due to a swing shift work schedule).
I think it all boils down to a matter of personal preference. Experiment with different times to find what works best for you.
good luck
Anytime that works for you. BUT and its a big but dont push till night becoze if you exercise then ur epinephrine (a hormone) levels will go up and you will suffer from insomnia that night.
If you are exercising to loose weight, then morning is your best shot- dont exercise early morning when you havent had anything to eat- by exercising in the morning you will maintain a high BMR (basic metabolic rate) throughout the day this means that even when u’re done working out your body will keep burning fat at a higher rate.
If you (like me) needs to exercise early morning before going to work or school, I suggest drinking a little bit of juice and give it about 15 min then start your working. This way ur body has enough sugar to maintain heathly brain functioning and prevent fainting when you work out.
Hope that helps
Morning works out good for me. It starts out my day, warms me up, and I feel ready to work.
it is better for you to exercise in the morning
Daytime, preferably morning. Do not exercise at night because you will not receive any of the sun’s energy. It is very important that you expose yourself to the sun, and in the morning, the sun’s UV rays are less damaging than in the afternoon.
It would probably be in the morning, because it will wake you up and get your blood flowing.
undoubtedly the morning, maybe evening if not
morning=freshness, not warm, no bugs, sun just coming up, relaxing, more exercise, cool breeze
just perfect
happy exercising
Experts say that morning is the best time to excercise and to lose the most weight. I like to do my excercise in the morning becase it wakes me up for work and I stay fit.
Frankly, for most patients the issue is not the time of day but simply getting enough exercise in the first place, so I emphasize finding the time that will work the best. Any exercise is better than none.
A second factor might be your energy level at different times of day. If you are a “morning person”, you might do best at that time rather than later. Many people have job or family constraints. You might be able to get away for a brisk walk or a trip to the gym at lunch but not in the evening. There are other considerations. As the weather warms up, for example, a workout in the early morning or evening may be more practical than mid-day.
Assuming you have the luxury of choosing your time and no time is much better than another, let me mention what I was able to find on the choice of times. There does not seem to be a clear answer but rather a range of opinions. One argument is that by exercising in the morning, you increase your metabolism during the day. Another is that your muscles warm up as the day goes on and that you can do more exercise in the afternoon or evening with less risk of injury.
the best time i think is early morning……cause you feel fresh….
I prefer the evening, as it allows me to blow off the frustrations of the day.
Some folks swear by Am workouts, as they feel they get a boost all day long.
the best reply is whatever works best for you.
the most inportant aspect of any exercise program is the next day. You have to come back the next day to do it all again; if you don’t, the entire program falls apart
fuji has some great touring bikes as well. aluminum or steel
