Most Insurance companies have to put the coverage under the registered owners name. You can be the owner and have him as the primary operator that may save you.

I believe it is possible but not the norm. I had a seperate policy
for my brothers bike 15 years ago and it was registered in his name. I think you should ring an insurer…and be honest with them.

Usually an insurance carrier wants to see what’s called “insurable interest” in the item being covered. If he comes with you to the agent and gives them a statement saying he’s going to be the sole operator of this vehicle they may cover him. This may be up to the company or agency, so your best bet is to call many different agents, both independent and direct.

You switch gears on a car to help acceleration and the RPM of the engine.
On a bike (bicycle i presume) you do it according to different factors, like how easy you want to ride or maybe if you’re on a hill and a higher gear is too tough.
A motorcycle is the same as a bike essentially, keep the engine running smoothly and not stressing.

In any motorized vehicle with gears, the gear ratio (the size of the output gear to the input gear) is always highest and in top gear, the gear ratio is lowest (usually less than 1). The purpose of this is so that you can get good power, quick acceleration and so that you don;t blow your engine when on a freeway/highway.
Usually first gear is optimized for lots of power and torque and little speed(for towing, getting started while on a hill, etc). Top gear is meant for speed and little torque or power.

most motors are powerful enough alone to push the bike on a flat or downhill surface. However, the small engines typically used do require some assistance (pedaling) from the rider when climbing steep hills.

I am a 13 year old male who wants something with wheels to go to places faster and wants to have fun. I don’t want to spend more than $ 120 and I would prefer something under $ 60. I am not going to use it to commute to places like the mall or anywhere that has busy roads. I live in a suburban area btw. I am going to use it to go around my neighborhood and go to places like my local park. I don’t care if the bike is better for exercise than the whatever. I will be going on the sidewalk mostly and I will pick it up/drag it with me when I cross streets unless it is not busy. Do you guys think a Bike, Scooter, or a Sole-Skate is better for me? I don’t care too much about speed because I know they will be better than walking, which is okay for me. Should I wear a helmet on anything that has wheels and is not a vehicle?

Probably a scooter, because a bike under 120$ will be pretty bad. I’m not sure between skates and a scooter. You should decide between those two.

Even with a BAD driving record motorcycle insurance is cheap.
Liability $ 120 a year. Full coverage $ 198 a year. You can call my source below and they can put the insurance in his name. They don’t need to talk to him (hence ruining the surprise)

Insurance coverage is limited. If he injures or kills someone on YOUR motorcycle, and the judgement is more than the insurance will cover, you can be liable. You might want to ask this in the ‘insurance and registration’ section.

sadly to say mike is completely wrong. i could get 1 part from different bikes (with the frame as the only acceptation) till i had a full bike, and the frame is the only part i’d have to let anyone know about. thank god the gov hasn’t taken every freedom from us.
You change gears on bikes and cars so that the engine speed can match with the road speed. Lower gears are used for lower speeds, and higher gears are used for higher speeds. So when the engine is accelerating or in a bike when you really roll on the throttle that forces the engine to accelerate which transfers that power to the road, which moves you. You change gears so the speed between the road and engine is the same.

Gears are the bits between the engine that’s going round and round and the wheels it makes to go round, different sized gears for different speeds etc. Take a look at the back wheel on a bicycle is has different sized sprockets.gears same in a car etc.
